Okay, I know this is going to sound a little weird. Scratch that. This is going to sound a lot weird. But, if you died right now, what would your Facebook status (insert social network of choice) say about you?
See, I told you it was going to be weird. But, stop for 2 seconds and really think about it. I don’t want to get to deep, but would that update express who you are or what your really about. Would it be something that people would check in on from time to time, like reading old letters?
Here’s why I ask. I came across this funny YouTube video that asked the question and it got me thinking about a friend of mine that died over a year ago. He always posted encouraging messages on his Facebook status along with pictures of family and the people he loved.
Since his death, people have gone out and posted updates to his wall wishing him a happy birthday, or notes of “we miss you”. So, when I came across this video, it made me laugh, but it also made me think. What does my Facebook status say about me? Would it be worth visiting after I’m gone?
Here’s the video. It’s funny, so give it a minute of your time (1:53 actually).
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this concept.
Peace,
