One of the things people do to try and make some extra money during the recession is a home based business.  One type of home based business in particular really gets popular. That business is network marketing.  During a down economy network marketing companies historically always grow.  Since so many people try it in this type of economy.Let’s examine the things that allows a person to be successful in network marketing.

One thing you will notice as in any business is that some people make it.  But you will also notice most people fail.In network marketing it won’t be any different. But the key to why people make it is not in the network marketing opportunities. No the key is found in another place.And the moment a person learns what the secret is, they will be able to make it as well.

The key is learning how to do mlm prospecting.In MLM what goal you should have is to try and grow a big team.That team that you build is what is going to allow you to earn residual income.  If you can show them how to duplicate what you are doing that is where the residual comes in.  But none of that happens unless a person knows how to do some prospecting.  If they can’t bring anybody into the business, they can never earn residual.So until they are able to start bringing people into the business, all the other things can wait.

Things such as teaching and training does not mean a thing.  Things like selling your product doesn’t matter.None of that means a thing until they can prospect.  Once again people have to stop looking at the top network marketing companies and focus on developing the skill of recruiting.Because once they learn that skill, they can do anything since they can recruit at will.It doesn’t make a difference what business they join.  They will be able to succeed.So the trick is to learn how to prospect.Learn that skill and success can be theirs.

Well here we are caught in a very bad economic time.There are many families that are having problems and struggling.Money is really difficult to produce.People have been losing their work.So in this economic climate of today, there are a lot of people needing to find ways to make extra money.One of the most chosen ways to do it in a bad economy is in network marketing.Today we will examine a few things about the industry of network marketing.

First of all when people look for this type of business they usually look at all the network marketing opportunities.They don’t have a clue on where to begin so they look at a bunch of different mlm companies.Now this is where it gets a little dicey.Because if a person has not been in a business like this before, they really don’t know what it is they are wanting.

One of the things they usually look for is the top network marketing companies.  Unfortunately just finding the top doesn’t guarantee success. There is much more to succeeding in MLM then that.

The main way to succeed in any mlm is knowing how to do some MLM prospecting.Unless you have the skills and knowledge to recruit you will have a dying business.In the long run, that is the reason for wanting to build a business like this.You want to be able to make money off of what your downline does.This is better known as something called leverage.It does work, but if you are unable to recruit people into it, you can never experience the benefit of it.

Once you do know how to prospect and recruit now you need to be able to teach the other people how to do that.If that is something you can do, then succeeding in MLM is possible for you.Knowing how to bring people into the business is one thing.  But unless you are able to find people who can do the same you won’t experience leverage. Because your income at that point will be totally based on all your efforts.

All you hear them talk about in the news today is about how bad our economy is.They keep harping on and on about all the loss of jobs.  They talk about home foreclosures.They are always pointing out that the dollar is weaker.For that reason a lot more people than before are going to be looking for different ways to earn extra money.

One of the methods people are taking a look at is network marketing.In horrible economic environments mlm companies have a growth spurt.  Mainly because people need extra money.  So you are going to find a lot of people looking for many different network marketing opportunities. 

That is why these companies will experience growth during these times.Quite a few of these people won’t just be looking for mlm opportunities.  They are going to look for the top network marketing companies.  People want to find the best companies and it makes sense.  But people don’t realize that success in network marketing is more than the best companies.

They have to realize that success in mlm will be dependant upon how well they can do some mlm prospecting.Recruiting is what makes this business survive.If they do not have the ability to bring in new distributors they won’t be able to make it.  After all that is what the whole business is based upon.Earning overrides off of your people your bring in. 

So they are going to need to take a look at more than just the best companies.  They have to learn how to prospect people.That is something new that people will have to learn.If they make no effort to learn how to do it, they will soon fail.Thankfully there will be a lot of different areas that they will be able to learn this.  If they go out and do it, they can succeed.

But like any business if they are lazy and don’t they will soon fail.So if you want to become successful in mlm then you have to be ready to do a lot of work. It is not as easy to do as some people describe it to be.

Attraction Marketing vs Rejection Marketing – Which System Are You Using?

Have you ever belonged to a MLM program I’m sure you know the old school marketing techniques where you work your warm list (family and friends), make lists of everyone you know, leave drop cards everywhere, cold call people on a purchased list of leads, hold hotel meetings, leave flyers on every bulletin board you can find, approach everyone within 3 feet, etc, etc.

Did you get a warm welcoming reception to these techniques? Did they work for you? Sell a lot of products? Get a bunch of new recruits? No? Well don’t feel alone, they don’t work for most other people either. That’s why most people don’t succeed in the industry.

Each time I joined a new Multi Level Marketing company in the past, I was introduced to these and similar techniques. While there were slight variations with each company or upline sponsor, the essence of each company’s marketing strategy involved some variation of these tactics. Basically, it all boiled down to calling and bugging everyone I could think of and every new lead to see if they might be interested in an opportunity to make some extra money

However, what they either didn’t tell me or at least played down, was the large amount of rejection I would have to face. Approaching a disinterested, untargeted market not only resulted in a large amount of out right rejection, it also created some amount of hostility.

Buy opportunity leads and call them was the response from my upline. “The more you call the more people you will sponsor, remember this is a numbers game,” he said. Sure you will get some rejection, but don’t let it bother you. Just consider each rejection as one more call closer to getting a “yes” response.

Yet hostile responses, hung up phones, and just plain more rejections were my reward for following this guidance. And I found that most of these supposedly opportunity seekers were nothing of the sort. Most has no idea how they had gotten on my list and had no interest in anything having to do with Multi Level Marketing.

With nothing to show for all my efforts, I sunk into debt buying worthless opportunity leads.

I gave up for a while feeling that MLM just would not work for me. But then I discovered a easier and better way. A way that in not taught by most Multi Level Marketing companies because it is not the “traditional way they have always done it.”

Using attraction marketing techniques, I soon learned the secrets of offering desirable and useful information to a targeted audience, build a relationship with them and get them to come to me asking to join my program.

So, don’t be held back by obsolete marketing methods, or at least marketing methods that aren’t working for you. Instead discover the new school attraction marketing methods that are working today.

What are the Advantages of Internet Based Marketing?

In this article, I’ll discuss why Internet based marketing can give you a better return on your investment versus traditional, off-line marketing. Let’s start with an example.

Suppose that you want to place an advertisement in your local paper. You go to their offices and while there, you ask them two questions: firstly, what is their circulation? They will give you a ballpark figure. Secondly, you want to know the demographics of their readership. They will most likely guess here, as they cannot know for sure.

Then, let’s say the place an ad in the classified section and then sit back and wait to see what happens. Now, to track this, you put a code on your website URL so you know exactly how many visitors you’re getting from that one newspaper ad. With the phone number, you also include a code, so that you know where the calls are coming from.

In the interim, you wait for your ad to go out on the next edition of the newspaper. After a week, you start to get some traffic and calls, and then you measure that against the price of your ad. You may find that with ten leads, the ad is costing $5.00 per visitor with a total ad cost of $50.00.

Now suppose one of these leads converted into a sale. You may get some more calls of course over the next few weeks. Responses to print advertisements sometimes take a while.

In the next example, let?s say you start a Pay per click campaign. Using this method, you research keywords that are relative to your product or service. You can get as targeted as you want, plus you can leave a few keywords in the broad category to see if there are other keywords you may be missing when trying to capture this market.

With this example, your ad goes live within just 15 minutes, using, let’s say, Google. You don’t pay unless people click on your link; if they do, you pay a dollar. Let’s say that your conversion rate is 2%. This means that you spend $100 to make two sales.

However in this example because of conversion tracking you can tell which keywords are converting to sales and cut out the keywords that do not convert making your ad campaign more cost efficient and effective.

If you’ve also used more general keywords, you can track how much traffic that this approach has netted you. On the other side of the coin, you’ll be able to place ads on websites whose readerships demographics match the market you’re targeting.

The point is this; when it comes to online advertising, your ability to measure the performance of your advertising is far better.

Of course, pay per click is only one form of online advertising. There are many others which are very effective such as article marketing, advertising in ezines which appeal to your target demographic and putting out press releases. Email marketing is one of the best methods out there, if properly done.

Internet based marketing can keeps your advertising costs low while boasting better performance than print advertising campaigns. The tracking allows you to keep on top of your campaign and get information on its effectiveness almost instantly – and this kind of adaptability is just what your business needs in this competitive marketplace.
