How you can get people all over the world to buy your knowledge

small business accounting software

In my challenge to create instructional videos for people using my alternative to small business accounting software such as Quickbooks or Sage I know I have just about mastered the art of making videos like the one above (one hour to produce) that can be sold or used to promote products and services on the internet. Selling information online has been around for years, here I show and walk you through the easiest way to infuse your skills into digital content and sell it to a worldwide audience of internet users. The best type of product you can sell is the one you have created and therefore own as one hundred percent of the profits are going to end up in your pocket.

A significant percentage of the human race now understands how to watch videos on YouTube and use iTunes, the iPod and even the iPhone and it is here I begin my explanation of how to leverage these popular technology platforms to sell your knowledge. I can deliver my small business accounting software through just about every modal via the internet and guess what the traffic just follows.

OK, step one you need to create a storyboard for your content, by storyboard I mean a plan of what knowledge you are going to share with your audience. If you are familiar with Microsoft powerpoint or apple keynote then you already have some of the skills you will need to get started making your first online video tutorial or presentation. Before embarking on this exercise you should have in mind my motto, which is get a rope across the river and don’t spend any money doing it and the good news is that this is entirely possible as I will demonstrate in a moment.

To create your videos I recommend a really good program called Camtasia studio from a company called TechSmith, it will enable you to produce high quality videos for YouTube, Podcasts and download to your customers computer in either QuickTime or Windows media format (don’t download the trial yet, just watch all of the tutorials). Downloading and installing the Camtasia software before you have got everything else ready will reduce the amount of time you have to produce and refine your video.

Now you know what tools you need to create your videos and in the next few days I will be publishing to this blog (owners permitting) another and much more detailed lesson on storyboard creation using how I created and distributed my small business accounting software videos as real life examples of what is possible.
