Back in March of 2001 I attended my first Network Marketing Convention with AmeriPlan in Chicago. I was a Regional Sales Director with AmeriPlan® and still worked full time as a Rural Letter Carrier at the Post Office. With four children and considerable debt, I had no intention on attending the Convention that year.
Dennis and Daniel Bloom decided to pre-pay for the convention, for anyone who had a monthly residual check to pay it back. Anytime someone fronts the money on an important event like that, there no good reason why not to go. So off I went. I made a commitment to attend the Convention, no matter what it took.
At Convention I met my upline Craig Freeman for the first time, met a lot of leaders and had lunch with Dale Brooks. When I heard from the Founders of the Company and the Leaders on stage I started to get the vision. The vision of where AmeriPlan was heading with or without me.
At that Convention the E-Commerce Replicated Websites were introduced for IBOs. Everything was now in place. Any IBO could now do the business their both locally and nationally on the Internet.
I knew that if I got enough people looking, the AmeriPlan® Dental Discount Programs would sell themselves. Real soon my name began appearing on the Top Enrollers list. A Trip to the Bahamas was the next big challenge for me. That was 2002. My wife and I took the trip in Sept 2003 with 25 others who had increased their Residual and Builder’s Bonus by $25,000 during the contest.
Being at the Convention in 2001 was the key factor of accelerating my business with AmeriPlan®, enabling me to quit the Postal Service after 15 years, become a member of the $75,000 President’s Club and winning six out of six of the Top Producer Trips since 2003.
Best advice is to get to the first management level (RSD) and qualify for the Double Eagle Contest. Get 10 pieces of business and win that Free Convention Ticket. Make sure you and your team members get to the Convention in July. It could be the exact edge you need to excel to the Top.
